Awareness of the harmful chemicals used in the maintenance and operation of swimming pools leads many owners to seek ecological and economically acceptable substitutes. Odor, skin irritation, eye inflammation and red eyes are just some of the problems users of a well-maintained swimming pool encounter. Contrary to popular belief, the main cause of these problems is not chlorine alone, but chloramine, which is formed in the reaction of free chlorine and ammonium ions. This produces inorganic chloramines such as monochloramine (NH2Cl), dichloramine (NHCl2) or Trichloramine, which can be formed only at relatively high chlorine doses and very low pH. Ammonia comes from human sweat, body fat and urine. To solve this problem, it is necessary to increase the amount of free chlorine and reduce the amount of ammonia in the water, for example by proper hygiene (to take a shower before entering the pool, not to soak in water).
ZeoPure® absorbs ammonia from water that has been contaminated by sweat, body fat and urine during the filtration process. It prevents free chlorine in water from reacting with ammonia and becoming ineffective against microbes. ZeoPure® adsorbs ammonia, thus increasing the efficiency of chlorine and reducing its dosage. ZeoPure reduces the total operating costs of the pool by reducing the need for chemicals and reducing backwash by up to 50%. It also minimizes eye and skin irritation. Ordinary sand or filter glass are inert materials and are chemically completely passive. ZeoPure® removes ammonia, heavy metals and removes suspended particles in water up to 2 microns due to the high ion exchange capacity.
Drinking water treatment
ZeoPure® is used as single or multi-layer filter media (similar to quartz sand) and therefore no change or modification of the technology is necessary. The standard type of zeolite filter medium ZeoPure® is recommended to be activated by our specially developed ZeoPure® ZAS (zeolite activated solution), which chemically binds to the grain and creates a hydrophobic surface. This change in surface tension prevents dirt particles from entering the pores and blind spots of the grain surface. This treatment perfectly cleans the grain surface during the backwash process. This technology is also used for active filter glass, which is expertly called Zeta potential.
ZeoPure® is recommended to be regenerated and thoroughly cleaned at the end of the season, or between periods when there is an increased level of chloramine. By following these basic procedures, chemistry dosing will be greatly reduced and your pool will be crystal clear and hygienically pure water free of high levels of chemistry and organic impurities.
Waste water treatment
Waste waters contain toxic heavy metal ions such as lead, cadmium, chromium, nickel, copper and / or zinc. Municipal wastewater contains a large amount of ammonium. All these substances must be removed from the waters before they are discharged into sewers or rivers, otherwise they may contaminate water resources and cause serious environmental problems. The ion exchange process is the simplest and most cost-effective way to remove toxic elements from wastewater.
ZeoPure natural zeolite contains interchangeable cations such as sodium, potassium, calcium and magnesium in its structure. Ammonium ions and heavy metal ions in wastewater are replaced by these ions during the ion exchange.

For a perfect balance of the water in aquariums, it is necessary to control the following essential parameters: pH, dissolved oxygen and ammonia. Compared to dissolved oxygen, the ammonia concentration is more difficult to control. Urine, fish excrement and unused feed. All this produces ammonia. Ammonia is easily dissolved in water and converted to ammonium ions. Ammonia is toxic to life in water and reduces the hemoglobin ability of oxygen. In addition, ammonia damages the gills and prevents aquatic animals from getting oxygen. The amount of ammonia released is directly proportional to the activity of the fish, the water temperature and the amount of nutrients. Dissolved ammonia concentration and toxicity increase with temperature and pH. The concentration of dissolved oxygen decreases. Toxic ammonia can be easily adsorbed using ZeoPure®.

Light gray to green zeolites are of very low quality for adsorption and remove only small amounts of ammonia, heavy metals and toxin. For aquariums, always use red zeolites that guarantee maximum efficiency and quality for crystal clear and healthy water in your aquarium, whether freshwater or saltwater.
Commercial fish breeding
Fish production is growing rapidly due to high demand and to meet growing demand, fish farms mostly use concrete, plastic, laminate or non-linear ponds for storage and breeding. The use of these storage and breeding methods removes all nutrients and, since it is not naturally enriched, must be carried out externally at increased cost. Another danger is contamination by industrial contamination with substances such as mercury, lead, aluminum, arsenic and, last but not least, ammonia. These toxic substances and heavy metals accumulate in breeding waters and cause higher mortality.
Ammonia toxicity is one of the major losses in hatcheries. The primary sources of ammonia are feed, urine and feces by the fish themselves. Of all the quality parameters that affect quality are ammonia after oxygen. A specific type of Australian Zeolite ZeoPure® that stands out for its purity, hardness and chemical purity is effective. Another feature is the uptake of minerals without the use of chemicals for storage and breeding in the above-mentioned storage and breeding areas.
